On the afternoon of October 3, 2025, the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland hosted a lively welcome and Mid-Autumn Festival team-building event, marking the start of a new semester filled with energy and collaboration.

The event warmly welcomed the new Chinese Director, newly appointed Chinese teachers, and volunteer instructors, whose arrival brings fresh perspectives and vitality to the Institute’s teaching and cultural exchange efforts.

The celebration began with a vibrant Irish céilí dance workshop, led by Dr. Clár Ní Bhuachalla, Director of Gaeltacht UCD – UCD Global Centre for Irish Language & Culture, and tutor Conn Fyfe. Participants learned traditional Irish dance steps, sharing laughter and enthusiasm while experiencing the charm of Irish culture firsthand.
