Delegates from China Universities Press Visit UCD Confucius Institute

On March 10, 2024, a delegation formed by representatives from The Renmin University of China Press, Beijing Normal University Press, Peking University Press visited the UCD Confucius Institute. They met with Professor Dolores O'Riordan, UCD Vice President for Global Engagement, Professor Wang Liming, Director of the Confucius Institute, and Professor Xie Jiangnan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute.

The delegation first visited the 17-year progress exhibition of the UCD Confucius Institute and the Confucius Institute building, followed by a book donation ceremony and discussions at the Confucius Institute library. During the visit, both sides also discussed future cultural projects and strengthening cooperation and exchanges.

On the morning of March 11, Professor Wang Liming delivered a lecture titled "Deciphering the Irish Economy and Overview of the Irish Publishing Industry" to the delegation, which was well received by the delegates.
