Madam Shen Yiqin, Governor of Guizhou Province visited UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland

On the afternoon of 20th September, Madam Shen Yiqin, Governor of Guizhou Province led a delegation to visit UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland (CII). During the visit, Professor Liming Wang and Mr Wei Zhang accompanied Madam Shen Yiqin and delegates to have a tour of the new building of CII and the Exhibition of the 13-year Achievements of CII.

At the meeting with the delegation, Prof Liming Wang briefly reviewed the history and current situation of cultural exchanges (Nuo culture, Confucianism etc.) between UCD CII and Confucius Academy, Tongren and Guiyang in Guizhou Province. 

Governor Shen Yiqin highly praised the important role that CII plays in building a bridge for exchange and cooperation between Ireland and Guizhou, and she looked forward to working with CII to promote more substantive cooperation between Guizhou and Ireland in the fields of cultural and educational exchanges, etc.

At last, Governor Shen Yiqin cordially invited UCD CII to participate in various cultural exchange activities and events such as the International Big Data Industry Exposition, the International Wine Exposition and the International Mountain Tourism Exposition held by Guizhou Province.
