"Spring Festival Gala” Presented by Inner Mongolian Art Troupe in Dublin

 

On February 20th, 2024, a captivating cultural extravaganza kicked off at 7:30 p.m. at the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland. Supported by the Chinese Embassy in Ireland and organised by the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland , the "Spring Festival Gala" attracted a  large number of audience to enjoy the event.

The gala kicked off with the enchanting song and dance performance "Beautiful Grassland, My Home," showcasing the breathtaking scenery of Inner Mongolia grassland through song, presenting a beautiful picture of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. After that, wonderful programs featuring the melodious tones of the horse-head fiddle, the traditional duo of Humai, and ethnic dances came on stage one after another, vividly showcasing the unique charm of Mongolian culture. The audience erupted in waves of applause. Additionally, works of the inheritors of autonomous regional intangible cultural heritage such as Khitan embroidery, Red Mountain Mongolian paper art, and Arxan bark painting were displayed in the exhibition area, which won the unanimous praise from the Irish audience.

The event aimed to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and Ireland and foster friendship through providing a unique cultural feast for the Irish people. The audience expressed that the gala not only showcased the unique charm of Mongolian and grassland culture but also served as a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Ireland, promoting friendly interactions between the two nations.
