背景

王黎明教授于1982年初大学毕业后分配至原中华人民共和国商业部工作,并于1986年任副处长。1988年赴英国谢菲尔德哈勒姆大学商学院研修工商管理硕士课程,1995年毕业于英国女王大学,获经济学博士学位。1996年至2005年期间,于英国女王大学任中国部主任及农业与食品经济系高级研究员。

2006年,王黎明教授在都柏林大学创建了爱尔兰第一个关于中国的研究机构 —‘爱尔兰中国研究院’及第一所孔子学院。从2006年至今,任爱尔兰都柏林大学中国研究院院长兼孔子学院院长。

王黎明教授2013年初被聘为北京市海聚人才及特聘专家,于北京工业大学经济管理学院任特聘教授。其校外兼职还包括中华人民国和国国务院侨务办公室专家咨询委员会委员(2017-)、爱尔兰中国研究会会长、欧洲中国经济学会的秘书长、爱尔兰国际贸易学院校董、美思能再生能源公司独立董事(2011-2014)、华中科技大学经济学院、安徽师范大学经济学院、铜陵学院客座教授等。2020年11月任全球经济大讲堂委员会主席。

其主要研究领域为中国经济、发展经济学、能源经济、金融传染及农业与粮食经济。已出版十部专著及国际期刊专刊,四十多篇学术论文。任国际期刊《Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies》、《Energies》的编辑。
